Yet Another Birthday

So along with my mother's birthday I celebrated my friend Nikki's birth on Saturday. We started at the Junction which oddly enough has become the new hang out for my co-workers to come to, I realize it's my fault but I think it's quiet funny. Nikki and her girl friend Tessa, also one of my co-workers, have been hanging out with Scott and I there for about a month now. Any way I digress.

We started at the Junction and were having a great time when some of our other co-workers wanted to switch bars and go to the shuck hotel. I have only been in there once before that night and wasn't excited to leave but since it wasn't my birthday I agreed. So Nikki, Tessa, and Kelly S and i piled into my car and drove down there. When we got there i found out I had to pay a $3 cover for a band, and that my long island would cost me, ready for this, $7. I was pissed, I could have stayed at the junction and got loaded on $3 long islands! And i do realize this isn't really a lot to pay for a long island and if i was in another city it would be so much more, but im not. I am in Saginaw on Hamilton Street where even at the pub or woody's a long island is only $5.

I think the prices only really go to me because after being there for maybe ten minutes the people who wanted to leave the junction left the shuck without even saying goodbye. I find this extremely rude. Don't move the party and not stay until close, which was probably in another half hour! Pretty shady I think.

But while we were there i ran into my design girls from my Detroit trip and they bought me a drink and we danced and ended up having a good time. Then came the funniest thing the whole evening, the one the only Birthday girl ripping off her ripped pair of skivvies in the bar. It's not a real party if someone doesn't loose their underwear, right?! The picture to the right is of Tessa holding them up next to Nikki

After the bar Tessa, Kelly and I took Nikki to breakfast for her real birthday at the Texan where Nikki got the breakfast bar and coated everything she ate with syrup. It was a great night! Happy Birthday / Easter Nikki !

Happy Birthday Mom!

So my mother's birthday was Saturday (Tax Day) This is her with the cookbook I bought her (She would hate me if she found out I put her Picture here, shhhh!). I took the day off and my parents and I went everywhere it seems. First we lounged around the house, then out to lunch at Hunan's Chinese Restaurant. I love this place by the way, very tasty. Then we went shopping, lots and lots of shopping! And although it was my mother's birthday I bought the cutest outfit for myself. I love it! hehe

Then we did the thing I was dreading all day. We went to dinner. And usually I enjoy going out to eat but when it's mom's choice and her birthday, we go to Red Lobster. BOO. I hate seafood! I hate the texture the look and especially the smell! We have a lobster bisque at my restaurant that they bring back every Christmas time and seriously I want to hurl! I don't understand how people can eat that stuff. Gross. Sorry if you like seafood but I don't. Anyway, we are sitting at our booth and I am trying to find something to eat and even though it is a seafood restaurant you would thing they would have a selection of food not from the sea. But nope, nothing that sounded appetizing at least. And most of the chicken and steak dinners we chicken and shrimp or steak and lobster or ___ and seafood! Even all the soups ( and they had FOUR) were all seafood. I mean I know I am not the only person who doesn't like seafood but is dragged there upon occasion. Get it together Red Lobster. And then I did the thing hated by all servers, I ordered something not on the menu. I ordered a chicken Caesar. They had a shrimp Caesar and they had chicken breast so I figured, mix it up and I am set! And even though I dislike RL a great deal I must say our server was very sweet about it and my drink was delicious! It was a strawberry colada thing, tasty!

On a side note I was very disappointed not to see Tim and Andre there...

Long Time No Post

So it's official i am horrible about keeping this thing up. But any who, what have i been up to?

I went to Detriot a couple of weeks ago for an interior design seminar. I was gone for two days and it felt like forever! The hotel we stayed in was a nightmare but we found a way to get through it... booze. Lots and lots of booze! My friend Casey and I went across the street and bought huge bottles of bacardi 151 hurrican mixes, very tasty and they did the trick, So well in fact that I can't even post the pictures from the evening because they are so incriminating! But on an up note, made very good friends with fellow designers, Estee and Erin! love you girls!

Next, I tried to kill my self by choking on an earing... long story short, got drunk and thought i was eating a peice of my taco and chomped down on my earing. Thankfully no real harm was done to me or my earing.

Then my aunt's mother's 95th Birthday (infact the morning after the earing incedent) Ruby is the sweetest person you will ever meet, she's from the south and is a dear! Happy Birthday!

No Longer a Virgin

So I did it... I went to the Casino. After five years of resisting temptation, my co-workers and I went to Soaring Eagle Resort and wasted money. All in all I think I figured I really only lost about $20 of my own money. I had a bad start and then a really good ending and was forced to leave at 11:30 So I could take the rest of the people back to Saginaw. And I already have to itch to return to the slots... very bad
