Tainted

So I home right now from work on my lunch break and had to go straight to my computer for blogging... So Monday afternoon I showed my blog to my boss, Mare, about my birthday since she couldn't make it, I showed her pictures, thanked her for the gift, etc. Flash forward to this morning. So as soon as she sees me she's like I have some interesting news for you. "Will was here yesterday (my boss' boss) and I walked into my office where he was and said 'So that Lisa knows how to have fun'" Don't quote me on that I think that's what Mare said, but as soon as I heard that I got a little distracted to say the least! This is my boss' boss reading my escapades! Seeing pictures of spanking Scooter! I mean seriously, there goes my chance at a promotion, EVER! So yea... Hi Will!

Totally 80's Birthday

Ah, where to begin?! It was so much fun and a great turn out. It started out slow but then more people showed up, I had more drinks and things began to picked up. Karaoke for me sucked, I don't know what happened. I put in 5 or 6 songs and I sang only 2 of the ones that I put in and I was there from 9:30 until 2! I mean seriously what's up with that? But I did get to sing "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", "9 to 5"(for my mom) and then Scott signed us up for "Almost Paradise".

As for gifts. I got lots of cool stuff from my parents, Scott bought me a carebear, I got a mixed cd with birthday in every title ( i beleive there are 12 songs in total), cards galore, a candle from Staci, people from work all signed a card and bought me a scarf and glove set from Marshall Fields, course, Scott and Ashley got both Scott and I an 80's gift set... Full of fun things like a DARE shirt, 80's CDs, and a few books from back in the day, and last but not least I got a shot picking button to wear and a key chain vibrator ( that doesn't' work) from my two lesbian colleagues Nicole and Tessa.

Then Drinks... I had: 3 Long Islands,Variety of shots: a red headed slut, southern comfort, 2 purple haze, an oatmeal cookie, and I feel as though there were at least two more that I am forgetting but there were a sea of shots!

What else... We gave party favors, key chain rubics cubes, jelly bracelets, various types of horns, kazoos, and candy necklaces. There was a big sheet cake that was turquoise, hot pink and purple that said "Like, Happy Birthday Scott & Lisa". And there was garland wrapped around the stairs leading up. That stopped no party invited people from parking it in our area. And much to mine and Scott's enjoyment we stopped the annoying Junction crashers that ruin Karaoke every night they come and bug the crap out of Scott and myself. hahaha foiled evil doers!

What else... My outfit?! I wore a jean skirt with black tights that I cut the feet off of, with hot pink pumps, both a turquoise and hot pink tank top with a black sweater that I cut all to hell. Tons
of jelly bracelets, and a hot pink lace glove on one arm. Then came my head... geez, it's amazing I didn't catch on fire from all the cigarettes burning and all the AquaNet in my hair, it was HUGE, well at least to me. It was big, poofy, the large wave bang. My make-up was dark and scary, it reminded me of a Lea Thompson in Howard the Duck. Honestly, I think I wore more blush last night than I have in any of the shows I have been in. And of course to finish off the look I had one long earring and one short one. I LOVED my out fit! PS It took 15 minutes to try and comb through my hair!

Well here are some of the pictures that I had from my camera, I haven't yet seen the pics my parents took.

And on a side note, I beleive that Scott spilled his beer not once but twice and again broke a glass.... I didn't see him to much that night so it will be interesting to hear what else happened! :) Love you Scooter!

Another Year Gone By

In the words of Bart Simpson to his little sister...
"Lisa it's your Birthday, Happy Birthday Lisa!"
That's right! It's my birthday, baby! And i am a whopping 23 years old. The celebration began last night with a trip to a purse and painting party that ended at a bar called the Green Hut in Bay City. We had fun drinking and singing Karaoke and then 12 o'clock hit and the shots started showing up at the table and things got crazy!
And let me just say it's all about to happen again! Time for the party weekend to continue..................

Scott's Birthday

So I attempted to wait until Scott updated his blog but there are just a few things that happened that night that need to be put on the internet for all to see. First and I think most importantly, Scott made it through the night with 1 bottle of beer, 2 pitchers and 2 shots in his body and didn't throw up on me, in my car, or at home! Yea scooter. Second and this I am most thankful for is that he didn't spill anything on me! Granted there was a lot of Taco Bell on the floor of my car but that didn't bother me because I was dry!

Then the embarrassing things happened, and I let scooter make some drunk phone calls, which I later got yelled at for letting him make. The first I believe was to Staci, who is Scott's director at the moment, then to Deena, i think there was another, then finally he called Paul. And let me tell you, if you thought my voicemail to Paul was funny and embarrassing, it was no where close to Scott's. So funny in fact that he almost drove me off the road. Let me explain....

So we are on the highway going to Taco Bell and i am pulling off onto the exit when the call starts and it begins with "Paul 'Suck My Cock' K____" ( I'm not sure how to spell your last name...) At that point i start cracking up and hearing me Scott, does a weird drunk fall onto lisa's arm and i start to veer off the road because now my eyes are watering and Scott has started his laughing convulsions. What a mess!

So those were the highlight of the evening, that and almost being set on fire from winds gushing burning embers onto us... Another blog... Maybe Scott's!

PS. Sorry no pics

Deer Hunter's Widow Season and more

So it's happened, Deer Hunter's widow season has started and its going to be non stop from now until New Year's Day. The last week at Marshall Fields has been, in one word, hell. We have doubled the majority of our goals and with the way things are going now, I dread... No not dread, fear for the worst on the Black Friday aka Day After Thanksgiving Sale. From then on in it's every woman for herself, and the now bitchy old women will be even worse and more demanding. Ah well, it's going to suck and I will have to deal but I give fair warning that the blogs in weeks to come may be about the wretched people I have had to help at Marshall Fields.

"4 hours" of Driving for What!?

First of all let me explain the "4 hours" you would think it would take around 2 hours to drive to Somerset from Saginaw with construction, rain & fog, which I had all three. But let me just say I am a little speed demon, and everyone knows it!

But anyway, the real reason for the blog is... So I was supposed to go down to the Somerset Mall this morning and had to be there at 9:00. Well I left with plenty of time, 6:45 to be exact! And let me tell you for a girl whose usual wake up call comes no earlier than 12:30 on her day off, waking up at 5:30 was not fun. So I leave this morning stop and grab a cappuccino and some McDonald's hashbrowns and head south. First of all it rained from Saginaw to Flint and then when the rain stopped there was fog, thick fog. And all through the mist of this there was 45 mph construction zones and stop and go. So by the time I got to Somerset it was 10 to 9. So I check in at the front desk and head up to the restaurant, where the training was going to be, and one of the employees told me it was in the break room on the other side of the store, so I walk across Marshall Fields to the break room, I am in there about 15 with other trainees and a person finally walks in and asks if there was any new hires for training, everyone except me got up and followed her to another room. So I headed back down to the Restaurant hoping that they hadn't 't started the right training without me.

When I get back to the restaurant I see the GM of the Restaurant and tell her I was there for the liqueur training and she proceeds to tell me that not only was the training at 4 pm but that it was cancelled two weeks ago!!! I was like EXCUSE ME? Now let me back track a little to when I found out that I had to go to this training, Saturday afternoon. Uh yeah that wasn't two weeks ago... Anyway so the plus side to the situation was that I got to read the book, take the test and leave, so instead of being down there until 1:00 I got home at 1. but still drives me a little nuts that I had to find a replacement to cover me in Saginaw and then drive down to troy at 6:45 for a cancelled training. I LOVE MARSHALL FIELDS!

new TV ritual

So for the last three or four weeks I have found a new late night TV addiction. It starts at 11:00 with two episodes of Will & Grace on Lifetime, then I switch over to Sex and the City, my new favorite show, and although I have only seen a few episodes I love it and want to buy the new set for 300 some dollars. Any way after two episodes of Sex and the City it's back to Lifetime for the Nanny. Three great shows for hours while I should be sleeping, but hey you have to keep laughing and to feed the need to see how other people might live.

Friends with Talent

Friday night Scott and I drove to Bay City to see Noel play at Old City Hall, and let me tell you that girl has more talent in her pinky... Any way she sang beautifully as usual and was so sweet to Scott and I and I haven't seen her in forever and it was like we were just in a show together, I mean all in all she is a lovely person, and when she sing Fionna's 'Criminal'... damn. I mean she's amazing.

which brings me to the main point of my post, I don't know about anyone else but I LOVE seeing people I know and that I am friends with, in shows, or singing in a bar. I just feel like I am watching like a proud mom. It just thrills me, I can't explain it. I just have to go see them in whatever they are doing.

So Noland hurry up and get a job on Broadway so i can come see you in it! and to Scooter, Paul and Deena, good luck in It's A Wonderful Life the Musical.

Saturday night

Where to being? If you have recently read Paul's blog you have a little inside info to how this story ends. But here is how it starts

So it's Saturday night at around 8:20 and I am just getting out of work and it's pouring rain, I go home and help my mom start cleaning for a party that we were having on Sunday, I was home about an hour when Scott called and wanted to go out for our ritual junction night. Here is where the dilemma begins, I felt I should stay home and help my mom clean but then I always go to the junction on Saturdays with Scott. So after a little whining and blaming most of it on Scott my mom kicked me out of the house so she didn't have to hear me talk about it.

So Scott came and picked me up, this being his "sober" week. So we take our usual way, down Shattuck to Hermansau, there is our first outage, the light was out and Scott almost went straight through it, then we keep driving down Hermansau and we drive through lake hermansau, and then find that after we get through this part of the flood, there is a tree down and has taken a power line with it, guess we aren't going that way. So we turn down another road and guess what's on that one... yup, another tree. So we back up after much deliberation on what we are going to do, if it be trying to find another road or drive through the flood again, well we found another road that wasn't blocked and reached the next road we needed to get to (hill). So we are driving down hill and get to state street and it happened again, a large tree has fallen taken wires down, cops and fire trucks blocking the road, so we turned down yet another road, anyway you get the picture. So we finally get to Michigan and see there is no power for most of Downtown Saginaw. And this makes me nervous, did I guilt my mom for nothing - is the power going to be out at the junction?! And then it happens, we turn onto Hamilton and there are no bars with lights on! So with hopeful hearts Scott and I journey further down the street and there like a beacon in the dark is the Junction sign beaming through the fog.

So, since this blog is going to be extremely long, we progress through the night and when we gotten through most of the second pitcher of beer and i have sang at least one song and Frank is playing a little break music and I'm singing and doin' a little booty dancing to my seat, finally sit down and there's a woman at the bar, who Scott and I have kind of been talking to, turns to me and says "So how big are your boobs?" at this point my jaw drops and I stare right at Scott to make sure that I am not totally wasted and that I actually heard this woman correctly. Well yup that's what she said, and then proceeds to tell me that I "this couldn't have been the first time someone has asked you that question" and I reply " only one of my friends and he was wasted, I usually don't tell that info to complete strangers", "well you can tell me, I am Mexican, we are friends with everyone" again my jaw drops and I swear I am now hearing things, and she's like so you aren't going to tell us? Mind you she is with a guy and he is totally staring at me this whole time, and by staring at me he's totally looking at my boobs. and I finally reply, maybe after a few more pitchers.

Fast forward another hour and maybe two more pitchers I did it, the dreaded act that I so cruelly picked on Scott for, I spilled my beer... On Scott... But in my defense, I didn't break anything and only spilled 1/3 of the glass on him not the full. But to deal with my concisous I had to tell the embarrassment, it all comes back to you in the end.

So then flash to 2:00 and we are leaving the bar and there are a group of men (early 20's) and their hoes, gathered at the bottom of the ramp outside, and there is one in fact without a shirt on, beer goggles may have been on but he wasn't too bad, and then I realize that they are fighting. Words and shoves, girls trying to keep boys away from each other and other guys trying to keep the boy without the shirt away from the group, and get him to go home, I try and rush Scott to the car, and we see yet and angry man walking across the street from McD's to kick some ass, and at that point, I like, we need to get out of here before the cops come because you (Scott) are not getting pulled over again! And as we are driving home we thought it might be a good idea to drunk dial someone, and at that point I realized that Paul was at work and well for the rest of the story go to .... http://paultoes.blogspot.com/ the post called "jesus sucks in bed." I love you Paul!
