That's not Popcorn!

Oh, but it is. I always thought those people that sold wierd food on ebay were nuts and then the fact that people actually buy it, even crazier! You know the potatoe chip that looks like a smiley face, things like that. Don't get me wrong I still think those people are crazy, but I always figured they did something to manipulate the food, cutting, burning it, what have you. but last night while out with friends, Tessa found a heart in our popcorn bowl. Granted it wasn't a smiley face. But it was cute.

St. Patrick's Day

They say a pictures worth a thousand words. These were the good ones from the night. And in honor of the new me post. I have decided to sing a new song every week to extend my Karaoke knowledge. This week it wasBelinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a Place on Earth" If you have any suggestions I would love to hear it!

Also Scott why do you always look drunk in my picutres?

Birthday Bust

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone has a party and don't bother coming over and spending time with their quests. I mean yeah it's not the most fun having to be everywhere at one time and make sure people are having fun, but if you can't hack it don't invite a big group of people. Case in point. My friend Kelley had her 22 birthday party and after a little while we skipped out and went to another bar.

Kelley had her party at Retro Rocks. I made Scott go for a little while but I mainly went with my other co-worker, Kelly. (I know lot's of Kell(e)y's) It started out in the front of the bar because there weren't that many seats and So we already felt segregated and thing just got worse from there. Retro eventually opened up the back room and we all moved in there. But they wouldn't let us move tables which I thought was bull shit, I'm sorry it's a bar people are going to move shit. Then we moved another time to the other side of the room but table still where separate.

So we are trying to survive boredom and finally more of my co-workers (Tessa & Nicole shown to your left) showed up. So then it started to pick up but was still lacking. So we left. Mind you that Kelly and I had been there from 10:30-12 and we talked to Birthday Kelley TWICE!! Once when we got there and then once when my other co-workers got there. Even when we were getting ready to leave we couldn't find her so we did just that, left. We ended up deciding on the Hamilton Street Pub, and we had a BLAST.

Tessa and I ended up playing the a bunch of erotic games on the computer they have there her, of course, picking Babes, and me picking the Hunks. We had a blast! Then Kelly started calling us and sounded upset. Do you think we were wrong leaving?! I think absolutely not.

Holy Update, Batman!

Get ready baby, it's update time. The new and slightly improved LovelyLisa23 Blog, with a new possible look and many long over due updates. I am working on getting it together you just have to give me time! :)

Addiction

So it's happened my one really nerdy habit about to be published. I will admit it, My name is Lisa, and I am addicted to the Sims. I love this game with all my might, I seriously turn into the biggest dork when anyone talks about it, I PRE order the newest expansion pack and download things to add to it off the internet. It's bad but I love it! The newest expansion pack just came out and I am loving it (one of the reasons I haven't updated in a while) I play it when ever I get a free chance, it's so much fun and challenging. I'm sorry, I'm getting to excited. I just love it, there.... If you haven't played it I suggest you do, but beware addiction may occur!

My friend Katie

Meet Katie Dubay-Miller. Katie and I have been friends since about seventh grade... I mean we were in Disney Spectacular in fifth grade but we really stated hanging out around seventh grade. We were in Mrs. Cheger's senior choir. The good old days, Academic track, trios, then all the high school choirs and trips, then to theater. We had some good times! Anyway Katie came home to Saginaw to visit, and even though I had the whole weekend off and so did she I saw her twice. Kind of sad. While she was here we went to JB Meinbergs for drinks and had a good time, and then we exchange Christmas gifts the night before she left, yes you heard me right, Christmas. I hadn't seen Katie since her birthday Thanksgiving weekend. It's bad. I am so bad about calling people to see how they are doing and going to visit people, I have decided to work on this more. And I think through out the year I am going to work on "new me" resolutions. Not that the old me is a bad person, she just needs to work on things.

Girl Friends

So within the last few months I have been in many talks about weddings. First my brother, Amber, and anohter one of my co-workers Lyndee. my brother's wedding doesn't really count in this blog because Sarah, My sister-in-law, had my self and her sister as brides maids. But Amber had three girls in her wedding, and Lyndee is going to have, get this, ELEVEN brides maids. This makes me think, if i was getting married in the next few monts my wedding party would be pretty sad. I have my good friend Katie from high school, my sister-in-law, my and Deena and that's about it for close girl friends but even I am not really close to all of them anymore and then there are the I work with but for the most part all my really good friend are male. It's kind of sad really. I mean am really close to my brother and would love to have him as my "man of honor" but he already said no. And then there is my drinking buddy and hopefully room mate Scooter and my hot black lover, Noland. And those are the people i really turn to if i have any sort of problems, them or my mother. Not that any of this is a big deal now since i have no boyfrined and no prospects, I just thought it was funny.

Quickie Wedding

So after being engaged for about a month one of the girls I work with, Amber, got married Saturday, she is now Mrs. Barry Jover. It's so cute, all through the night when we were dancing she would just randomly say, "I got married today".

I had a great time, that is after dinner and I really started to drink. My friend Kelly and I got to the reception maybe 15 minutes before they started to eat and we got one of the the last tables, and there we sat with the weirdest couple. As soon as we sat down the guy was all , can I hang up your coats, get you something to drink, how do you know the couple, It caught us both off guard and they were consistently weird through out the evening.

Need less to say it was a really fun night and quiet a few of the girls from work ended up showing later in the night when they got out of the Lakeshore Grill. There was dancing, drinking, trashed Sister that was the maid of honor, and to my surprise volley ball and hula hoop contests. Has any one else seen this done at a wedding?! I was totally thrown off by it. I mean it looked fun but volleyball at a wedding on the dance floor?! But I guess it stayed in form with the DJ who was also odd, every genre of music he played he changed hats, and near the end of the night he was wearing one of those reggae wigs and a blow up guitar on a table rocking out to some song that I can't quite remember. But all in all a fun night, Congrats Amber!!

Mardi Gras

So It was an interesting night that i feel started off in what could only be known as true mardi gras style, buying a ticket (pub crawl), ordering a beer, getting beads, and being spanked in the ass infront of all to see! Let me explain...

It all started at work when my friend Jeremy (one of the cooks) told me there was a pub crawl on Hamilton that night and i was like I'm going! we decided we would try and meet up. The other encouraging factor was that we are having an mardi gras competition at the LSG and we had just gotten all the prized and a whole bunch of necklaces and my boss, Mare, gave everyone that was going to the crawl a shit load of beads to wear. I always find it interesting when your boss encourages you to go out drinking... especially when you work the next day.

Well anyway, I called Scott and was like we are going, so we start at Woody's and buy a ticket for $5 and then every bar we go to the first beer is only $1.50 Not bad at all! So Scott and I are getting our beers and we see these awsome Bud Light Jester hats, and Scott wanted one, later we find out they are for games that the DJ was going to do. So then Scott's sister showed up and we were talking about the hats, and some how she thought that i wanted the hat so she went up to the DJ and asked what I had to do to win the hat. And even when the DJ asked if it was me who wanted the hat and found out I didn't i was the one who would have to win it for scott. So thanks scott. All in all i didn't have to do anything to crazy just get spanked by scott infront of the whole bar and then I got to return the favor. Then only bad thing about the whole thing was that we didn't even get the hats we wanted... booo. Oh well
